Spiced Citrus Apple Cider Recipe
Welcome Fall With This Delicious Cider Recipe
It’s October 1st! Time for us fall enthusiasts to come out of hiding and literally put pumpkins everywhere. Our condo has ornamental pastel pumpkins on every available surface, pumpkin candles burning and the throw blankets, lots and lots of throw blankets. Although pumpkins really take centre stage during the fall season, I absolutely love apple season. Fresh apples right from the orchard are one of life’s simplest joys. Harvest apples are great on their own, perfect for baking and of course, make the most delicious apple cider!
The weather is fully in fall mode here on the West Coast and this cider recipe is the perfect way to cozy up on a rainy evening. It will fill your home with the most inviting scent and it is easy to prepare for large groups. I hope you enjoy!
Prep Time: 5 minutes
4-5 Cinnamon Sticks
5 Cups Apple Cider
1 Orange, Sliced
1 Apple, Sliced
1 Teaspoon Allspice
Combine all the ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a simmer. Simmer for 5-6 mins and then serve. I served mine in copper mugs for the look but the handles were super hot, so maybe a regular mug is a better idea.
